How you Live your life is the evidence of what you believe internally.
EVERY SINGLE WORD in the Bible deserves our highest regard and careful obedience. Scripture isn't a collection of suggestions or optional wisdom—it's God-breathed, profitable for teaching, correcting, and guiding us in righteousness (as 2 Timothy 3:16 puts it). We should hold each word in reverence and commit to following it fully, letting it shape how we live, speak, and love others.
Everyone thinks they are going to Heaven, but nobody wants to
walk the narrow road” “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate.
The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. Mathew 7:13 "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. Many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Luke 13:24
No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. John 3:13
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. Ecclesiastes 9:10
The living knows that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything. There is no longer a reward for them because the memory of them is forgotten. Ecclesiastes 9:5
A good road will be there, and it will be named "God's Sacred Highway." It will be for God's people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road. And no fools can travel on that highway. Isaiah 35:8
This diagnostic test focuses on the stark contrast between human imagination regarding the afterlife and the plain text of scripture. It forces the reader to confront the reality of the "Narrow Road," the true state of the dead, and the holiness required to walk on God's Sacred Highway.
📋 The "Narrow Road vs. The Highway to Hell" Test
Instructions: Answer these 4 final questions honestly to see if your daily walk and understanding of eternity match the direct words of Christ and the Prophets, or if you are coasting down the broad road of popular culture.
Question 1: The Reality of the Narrow Gate
In Matthew 7:13, the Master states: "You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way." When you look at your daily choices, your calendar, and your lifestyle, which road does your life actually reflect?
-
A) The Narrow Road. Your life looks drastically different from the culture around you. You actively restrain your flesh, keep the Seventh-Day Sabbath, guard your diet, and painstakingly seek alignment with the Torah, regardless of the social cost.
-
B) The Broad Road. Your lifestyle blends seamlessly into modern Western church culture. You follow the crowd, celebrate conventional holidays, and assume that a simple verbal profession or regular church attendance exempts you from the narrow path.
Question 2: The Myth of Immediate Heaven vs. The Word
Popular culture teaches that when people die, they immediately float away to heaven. Yet, John 3:13 states: "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven." Furthermore, Ecclesiastes 9:5 declares: "The living know that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything." How do you handle this plain scriptural truth?
-
A) You accept the words of scripture fully. You recognize that the dead are asleep in the grave, awaiting the physical resurrection and the return of the King to this earth, which drives you to make every day count now with all your might (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
-
B) You prefer comfortable human traditions over scripture, spiritualizing away the plain text so you can hold onto the comforting, unbiblical belief that everyone instantly goes to heaven when they die.
Question 3: The Toll on God's Sacred Highway
In Isaiah 35:8, the prophet describes the ultimate path: "A good road will be there, and it will be named 'God's Sacred Highway.' It will be for God's people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road." What is the standard for traveling on this highway?
-
A) Physical Set-Apartness (Holiness). You understand that "unfit to worship" means living in a state of lawlessness (sin). You actively cleanse your life of detestable things and disobedience so your feet are fit to walk on His holy ground.
-
B) Cultural Convenience. You believe that "grace" allows you to remain unfit, lawless, and unchanged in your daily habits, assuming you can stroll right onto the Sacred Highway while still living by the standards of the world.
Question 4: The Effort of Entry
In Luke 13:24, Jesus issues a chilling command: "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. Many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to." How does your current level of spiritual effort match the Master's instruction?
-
A) You exert "all your might" to obey every single word of scripture (2 Timothy 3:16). You test your traditions against the Word, repent where you are wrong, and treat obedience as an absolute necessity.
-
B) You treat scripture as a book of optional suggestions. You apply zero effort to changing your lifestyle, assuming that entering the Kingdom is automatic and requires no hard choices or physical transformation.
-
The Sovereign Verdict: Look squarely at the boxes you checked. If your answers lean heavily toward B, the mirror reveals the most sobering truth of all: How you live your life is the only real evidence of what you believe internally.
You cannot claim to hold every single word of scripture in the highest regard if you are actively walking the wide, effortless road of human tradition. The dead cannot plan, work, or repent once they reach the grave. The time to strive for the narrow door and align your feet with God's Sacred Highway is right now, while you still have breath—because the Master never promised an easy path to those who refuse to follow His footsteps.
A while back I heard this story, and it made me think, so I thought I would share it.
As you are drifting off to sleep, you hear very clearly your name being called out, a sound so loud the vibration shakes your bed. It's so terrifying, you feel sick. You open your eyes and you find yourself surrounded by millions of crying and terrified people. As you look around you see the great white throne of judgment and the one sitting on it who is indescribable, magnificent, and beautiful. Behind the throne is a great fire, the flames are so high and bright they reach into the heavens.
Then you hear loud noises that bring everyone to their knees. Two angels are pounding their staffs on the floor. Next, you see the angels pick up a man and carry him off to where the flames are,
and they threw him into the fire pit, where he was no more.
After that, you hear a name being called out and you see two more angels come out and pick a woman this time, she was taken up to the throne where there were books open. They set her down in front of the throne. You can't hear what is being said however, you can sense a strong feeling of sadness coming from the throne. Then you hear a voice saying, “Why didn't you love me, and follow my instructions”? You were given many opportunities, but you refused. I sent several messengers to warn you, but you denied me. I gave you my Torah. I sent you my son as a perfect example of how I wanted you to live. He kept my dietary instructions, He kept my seventh day Sabbaths, He kept my Feast days, He kept all my laws and statutes. Then the two angles pounded their staff and carried her away to the flames. And she was no more. Everyone was so terrified they cried out for another chance, but there was no reply.
Suddenly you hear your name, and you are so afraid, that you fall to your knees and cry, you look up and see two angels coming toward you as they get closer you feel their hands touching your shoulders. As they are about to snatch you up; you wake up with this message.
REPENT
Warning: There are two paths—one narrow road that leads to eternal life through faithful obedience to Christ, and one broad road that leads to destruction and the lake of fire—your choice matters eternally.
Matthew 7:13-14
The one question every professing Christian must answer—your eternity hinges on it.
Tampering with Scripture (adding human ideas/traditions as divine commands or subtracting/removing/ignoring/twisting any part) reveals a heart not truly submitted to God. This risks one's name not being found—or shown never to have been—in the Lamb's Book of Life, resulting in eternal judgment in the lake of fire (the second death). Revelation 22:18-19,
A life of ongoing sin reflects the devil’s influence, unrepentant behavior rather than an occasional mistake. It’s the contrast between someone who struggles who has the Holy Spirit but tries to improve, versus someone who intentionally chooses a path away from God
1 John 3:8
What is the Fourth Commandment, found in Exodus 20:8-11? Surely you know. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; Exodus 31:12-17
